John grew up in South Philadelphia and started at Powerhouse in the original facility in Camden, NJ. During high school he spent many weekends, holidays and summer breaks working alongside some of the seasoned mechanics still working at Powerhouse today. John graduated from Bishop Eustace Preparatory High School and holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. He previously worked at Siemens and Morpho Detection Inc., focusing on airport and transportation security, in various management roles. These positions afforded John to see many areas of the country while working on projects, including Hawaii three times for extended stays.

John is married to his high school sweetheart, Amy and they have two loving and energetic daughters, Abigail and Olivia. When not enjoying their time camping at Hospitality Creek Campground, John can be found participating in one of his various hobbies: hunting, fishing, or playing hockey. John is also a member of the Second Street Irish Society in Philadelphia where he grew up. This organization contributes to many charitable causes throughout the year. He is a playing member and past president of the Second Street Irish Society Pipes and Drums.
