Thanks to decades of experience in more than 160 markets around the world, we have accumulated extensive knowledge in a wide diversity of processes, needs and objectives in the power industry.

Plant Commissioning

Power plants, steel mills, and paper mills are some examples of industries that would require plant commissioning or soot blowing. This process utilizes steam or slightly superheated steam to remove construction debris, loose rust, liquids, and other contaminants from process piping.

Refueling Outages

Power plants typically refuel every 18 to 24 months in order to replace older fuel that is depleted. During this refueling outage, the power plants will schedule routine maintenance to take advantage of the downtime.

Steam Blowing

Steam blowing is a cleaning process that utilizes steam at high flow rates to remove debris from the inside walls of piping. To determine the effectiveness of the steam blow and final cleanliness of the steam, a polished metal plate (called a target plate) is used to monitor the quantity and size of particle impacts in the exiting steam.
